Battlefield 2042 was not much appreciated for its technical issues and even it was criticized by many players as they faced a lot of problems while playing the game that’s why it became one of the worst games on Steam as it got about 30,000 negative reviews on 21st November 2021.
Battlefield has been criticized for its extensive bugs and lack of features that have been added in previous Battlefield games. It was one of the most played games on Steam at its launch but the game player has sharply declined in the following weeks due to its poor performance from about 105,397 and the average was 52,000. The game was overtaken by the other game on Steam Farming Simulator 22, as this game was the biggest game of the year and was quite popular in all the digital stores in the world.
On December 2 the battlefield 2042 lost about 70 percent of its initial players on the steam due to its poor performance and by the end of December the number of players in the game decreased rapidly by about 19,000 and this way it dropped down and down.
In January 2022 DICE removed the popular Rush mode from the playlist in Battlefield 2042 as a result got a lot of backlash from the players but later due to a lot of backlashes and even the players of this game harassed the developer DICE as a result Rush was restored later the same month.
In May DICE, announced the battlefield 2042 season 1 and explained their commitment as they have improved the game and have made certain changes to modes, maps and specialists and even they promised that they have improved controls and animations of the player’s character. Due to its poor performance, this game has been backlashed a lot and had a lot of controversy as when the name of the cosmetic playable character alluded to the little green men from the Russo-Ukrainian war as they generated some controversy at that time. But later DICE stated that it had not been any intention and he told the gamers that the name of the cosmetic would be renamed again in future and they would update them soon regarding the renamed process he even gave the reference that isn’t reflective of our team’s values.
