What is Mental Health?

Mental health is something when  a person’s emotions and the ability to think gets involved.

IMPORTANCE OF MENTAL HEALTH

Mental health is an important matter of concern because it is directly related  to a person’s brain.

Just like the body ,we should also take care of our mental health .In order to keep our body healthy and fit we take food and  drink water.

Just like that  our brain also needs to be fit and healthy and for that we need to do exercises and meditate.

Every age of people go through different phases  of life which can effect their mental health .Therefore, it  is very necessary  to take care of one’s mental health regardless of their age.

Any kind of mental disturbance can seriously effect the brain cells which can later cause many problems to a person.

AWARNESS OF MENTAL HEALTH.

Nowadays, it can  be seen that people go through various mental problems and they don’t realize its importance which is due to the unawareness and incomplete knowledge about it. Generally, people underestimate it as they take it casually .People  think that it is a normal thing just like a random sneeze.

People are unaware of the fact that it can have severe effects later if they will  not take care of their mental health.

There should be  a proper way to  make the people aware about it which can be done through properly educating them about this serious matter. However, many steps have been take by the government to make the people understand the depth of this matter

Many mental  health awareness camps are organized to overcome this matter and it is addressed  by the Psychologists (people who understands  a person’s emotions, thoughts and behavior) ,psychiatrists(medical doctor who is specialized  in mental health)and volunteers .

They impart a proper knowledge to people  and make them understand its importance.
It should be added as an important  subject  in the educational system.

  1. Frequent changes in mood
  2. Facing problems in concentration
  3. Feeling sad
  4. Fatigue
  5. Facing problems to sleep
  6. Desire to be alone

  2. Poverty
  3. Family issues
  4. Brain injury
  5. Excessive fear or anxiety
  6. Unhealthy family environment
  7. Drugs and alcohol

  2. Anxiety and panic attacks
  3. Body dysmorphic disorder(BDD)
  4. Borderline personality disorder(BPD)
  5. Depression
  6. Eating problems
  7. Hypomania and mania
  8. Obsessive compulsive disorder(OCD)

  10. Personality disorders

TREATMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH DISORDERS

People should consult to psychiatrist  immediately if they they find any symptom regarding to mental health disorder.

Normally people disregard these symptoms as they feel it is normal.

But we should never predict this by ourselves  as it can have an adverse effect later.

Signs and symptoms of mental illness may differ as to the angle of turbulent adolescence. But, these can be early predictors of mental health disorders or problems that require treatment.

  • Psycotherapy or counseling
  • Prescription medicine
  • Support groups
  • Electroconvulsive therapy(ECT)

Mental health is a part of our life and is also important. We should not ignore it .As people do not give importance to it.

We should do yoga, meditation and exercise in order to keep mind fresh and healthy and also prevents from any stress and depression .
