The Minnesota Department of Health (DMH) is the state medical agency of Minnesota in the United States, having its main office in Saint Paul. It also has a large number of regional offices throughout the entire state and even North Dakota. The agency was created in 1965 and is administered by the Department of Health.The Minnesota department of health maintains several important databases concerning health, diseases and conditions, and other matters that affect the health of people in the state. These data are valuable for various purposes, such as the identification of disease trends and patterns, the tracking of disease progression and demographic studies.

The data base of the department contains records on more than 2.2 million individuals who are either residents or non-residents of Minnesota. The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is a Minnesota Government health agency in the United States. The department has four offices in Saint Paul and seven outside the Twin Cities area: Bemidji, Duluth, Fergus Falls, Mankato, Marshall, Rochester and St Cloud.

The organization was founded in 1977 after the dissolution of the state health board, which had been in existence since 1872.

The agency oversees Minnesotans’ public health, including disease control and prevention, environmental health, community policy, and the regulation of health care providers.
